PERFORMANCE is a brand of the largest yarns producer in European Union – Bulgaria Tex JSC, a heritor of a factory founded back in 1931 by G.P.COATS – Glasgow, Scotland, as a subsidiary company for manufacturing of cotton yarns and threads. Throughout its remarkable period of existence the company Bulgaria-Tex JSC has never ceased its activity nor changed its subject of production. Thanks to the diligent and thorough work of generations of textile engineers, the factory’s product range significantly grew and spread over 500 products covering all fibers, materials and blends known to the textile industry – cotton, wool, viscose, cashmere, linen, alpaca, silk, bamboo, kapok, hemp, Tencel™, EcoVero™, acrylic, polyamide, their blends.
Focused on how its yarns perform in the skillful crafters hands, the factory enforces policies that prioritize the responsible selection of raw materials, the undisputable production quality, the installation of modern Nature-sparing equipment and the noble in-house working ambiance.

- Since having our first Oeko-tex certification 15 year ago, we are avoiding dye staffs containing harmful substances and heavy residues.
- We replaced outdated machinery with more efficient models, hence we heavily cut down the amount of waste created during the process, reducing environmental impact.
- We make systematic audit of how energy is used aiming to conserve energy and natural resources.
- We are closely monitoring the materials and processes in order to reduce the amount of surplus and by-products.
- The majority of yarns in our collection are made from natural fibers which makes them compostable and therefore naturally part of the circle of life
