PATTERN NOTES

Numbers in the brackets in the end of each row/round indicates the total sts you must have in the end of every round.

When the number is written in front of the stitch you must make this number of stitches all in next st, if the number is written after the stitch you must make it in all next stitches indicated by this number. For example : 3sc,ch2- it means make 3 sc in next st, ch2. If it is written with the number after like this sc3,ch2– it means make sc in next 3 sts, ch2.

Fill in the parts of the toy before the last 5-6 rounds .It will be easier and even.

Materials used:

100% cotton yarn or cotton/acrylic yarn. For this project I used Performance yarns Cotton Queen in colors : green (35g) and yellow (6g), light green (1g), black (1g) white (1g)

Crochet hook size – 2mm

Tapestry needle

Scissors

Markers

Safety eyes- 6mm

Polyfill fiber- for filling the toy

HEAD AND BODY:

Start with green color yarn

Rnd 1: Start with magic ring and make 6 sc into it or ch 2 and make 6sc in 2nd ch from hook. (6)

Rnd 3: ( sc 1, inc 1 ) rep 6 times (18)

Rnd 4: ( sc 2, inc 1 ) rep 6 times (24)

Fingers(make 6 pieces 3 per feet)

Rnd1: Start with MR and secure with sl.knot. Make 7 sc into the ring (7)

Rnd 2-5: sc in each st around (7)

Rnd 6: Join 3 fingers together – sc4 from 1^st finger, 3sc from 2^nd finger, 7sc from 3^rd finger, 4sc from 2^nd finger again, 3sc from 1^st finger.

Rnd 7: dec1, sc7, dec2, sc6, dec1 (17)

Rnd 8: sc in each st around (17)

Rnd 9: dec1, sc7, dec1, sc6. (15)

Rnd 1: Start with MR and secure with sl.knot Make 8 sc into the ring.(8)

EYES:

WHITE PART:

Start with MR, and secure with sl.knot. Make 7 hdc into the ring. Finish. Leave long tail for sewing.

LIGHT GREEN PART:

Start with MR. and secure with sl.knot. Make 12 dc into the ring. Finish. Leave long tail for sewing.

DARK GREEN PART:

Rnd 1: Start with MR, and secure with sl.knot.Make 6 sc into the ring.(6)

Rnd 2: * inc1 * rep 6 times. (12)

Rnd 3: * sc1, inc1 * rep 6 times (18)

Rnd 4: sc all around.(18)

Sew white part on the light green part and then sew them on the dark green part as shown on the pictures below. Insert the safety eye in the middle.

CROWN: with yellow color.

Ch 3 does not count as a stitch

Rnd 1: Ch12, join to 1^st ch to form a ring.

Rnd 2: Ch3, dc in each st all around. (11)

Rnd 3 : ch3,*  dc1, picot1, hdc1 * rep 5 times,dc1 ,picot1, join to 3^rd ch of beg. Ch3.

BOW: yellow color

Row 1: Ch10, hdc in 3^rd ch from the hook, hdc7, turn

Row 2: Ch2, hdc7,turn

Row 3: ch2, hdc6, hdc1 on top of tch3,turn.

Repear row 3 26 more times. Than join both sides with sl.st. Turn it that the joining is in the middle and take a long string of pink yarn. Turn around the bow 10 times and secure with sl.knot. Leave long strings on both sides and then tie up it around the neck of the frog.

SEWING ALL PARTS TOGETHER:

FIRSTLY PIN ALL PARTS.IT WILL BE EASIER TO SEE IF ANY PART IS NOT CENTERED AND THEN SEW ALL PARTS.

1. SEW THE HANDS ON THE BODY
2. SEW THE LEGS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BODY
3. SEW THE EYES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE HEAD
4. SEW OR TIE UP THE BOW ON THE NECK
5. SEW THE CROWN BETWEEN THE EYES ON THE HEAD.
6. Take black string and make the mouth.
