Choose color 1, take 4 mm – 40 cm circulars, and cast on 89 sts. Use the last stitch to close the knitting in a circle – 88 sts. Work 1 row 1х1 ribbing – k1, p1.

Change to 3,5 mm needles – 40 cm circulars and work twisted 1х1 ribbing – that is, p1, k1tbl. Continue working in the round with twisted ribbing for another 8 rows.

To decorate the end of the neckline a tubular edging is made as follows. Change to 3 mm – 40 cm circulars and start doubling the sts:

Row1: M1, k1

Row2: p1tbl, slip the knit st – thread stays at the back

Row3: Slip the purl st – thread stays in the front, k1

Row4: Change to 4 mm – 40 cm circulars – k2tog the whole row – 88 sts

Use the markers to distribute the sts for the body and sleeves as follows:

2 sts raglan

27 sts back

2 sts raglan

8 sts sleeve

2 sts raglan

37 sts front

2 sts raglan

8 sts sleeve

The 2 raglan sts are twisted: ktbl on the RS and p2tbl on the WS.

The excellent depth of the neckline is made with short rows – the project is turned and worked both on the RS and WS. So that no holes appear while turning the project, the sts are wrapped.

NOTE: Increases are made before and after each raglan line, and only on the RS. The increases are purled on the WS.

The row starts before the raglan sts marked with N. Work until you reach the sleeve sts, k1 – as shown on Chart1 and turn.  Work the WS until reaching the 1st sleeve st, p1, and turn. Continue with the short rows as per Chart 1 and don’t forget to make increases before and after each raglan line on the RS. When ready with all short rows on the sleeves, continue working short rows on the front. The middle 11 sts of the front are not worked until all short rows are finished and knitting in the round is resumed.

After resuming the knitting in the round, the number of the sts should be:

Sleeves  –21 sts

Front – 45 sts

Back – 45 sts

When necessary, change to 80 cm circulars – 4 mm.

After forming the neckline and resuming knitting in the round, 40 more rows are necessary to reach the desired raglan length. The increase in the sleeves and in the body parts is as shown:

B – increases in the body  – front/back

S – increases in the sleeves

1 – B 11 21 – B 31 – B   S
2 –       S 12 22 32
3 13 – B   S 23 33
4 14 24 34 – B
5 – B 15 25 – B   S 35 –      S
6 16 26 36
7 17 – B 27 37 – B       Change with Color 2 and work Pattern in Chart 2
8 –       S 18 28 38
9 – B 19 – S 29 – B 39
10 20 30 40 – B   S

NOTE: In row 37 we change with Color 2 and work Chart 2 Pattern. In order to distribute the pattern stitches after separating the sleeves from the body, we need to work in row 37 as follows:

Back – M1, work chart 2

Right sleeve – work chart 2

Front – M1, start chart 2 from its 8th st

Left sleeve – start chart 2 from its 8th st

After finishing the 40 rows of the raglan the number of the sts should be:

Sleeves – 39 sts each

Front/back – 69 sts each

Divide body and sleeve sts as follows:

Sleeve sts + the 2 raglan sts are set on a thread or a stitch holder – (39 + 4 sts). Work the back sts as per Chart 2, cast on 8 sts. Separate the other sleeve. Continue with the front sts, cast on 8 sts.

Final number of sts on the needle – 154 sts. Continue with chart 2 pattern – total rows for Color 2 – 37 rows.

Change to Color 3 and work Chart 3 pattern.

Note: Decrease 2 sts evenly only in the first row of the pattern – 152 sts

Chart 3 pattern:

Row 1: k

Row 2: k

Row 3: k3, slip the next st as if to knit – thread behind the work

Row 4: k3, slip the next st as if to knit – thread behind the work

Row 5: k

Row 6: k

Row 7: k1, slip the next st as if to knit – thread behind the work, k2

Row 8: k1, slip the next st as if to knit – thread behind the work, k2

Total rows for Color 3 – 40

Ribbing: Change to 3.5 mm needles and work twisted 1×1 ribbing for 8 rows. Bind off.

Sleeves: place the sts from the thread to 4 mm – 40 cm circulars, pick up 15 sts from the 8 sts that you cast on under the sleeves, and work chart 2 patterns for the total of 37 rows for color 2.

Change to Color 3 and work the Chart 3 pattern. Note: Decrease 2 sts evenly only in the first row. Work for a total of 40 rows with color 3 and decrease 2 sts evenly in the last row.

Ribbing: Change to 3.5 mm needles and work twisted 1×1 ribbing for 8 rows. Bind off.

Handwash the finished blouse and put it flat to dry.
