100% cotton yarn or cotton/acrylic yarn. For this project I used Performance yarns Cotton Queen in colors : light pink ( 26g ), dark pink ( 8g ), black ( 6g ) and cream ( 6g ).A bit white color for eyes.
Crochet hook size – 2mm Tapestry needle

Picot- to begin, ch3, insert hook into the back bar of the first chain, YO, pull through all loops on the hook.

Insert the safety eyes between rnd 9 and 10.Leave 3 sts between the eyes.

Ch10, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 5 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, 5 hdc in last st, continue on opposite side, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next 6 sts.
Small Feather: Make 12 pieces ( 6 with light pink and 6 with dark pink color yarn )
Ch7, sc in 2nd from hook, sc in next st, hdc in next 3 sts, 5dc in last st. continue on opposite side hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next 2 sts, join with sl.st on top of 1st st.
Big Feather: Make 2 pieces ( light pink color yarn )
Row 1: Start with MR and secure with sl.knot, ch2, 5dc into the ring, ch3.turn.
Row 2: 1picot, 1 dc in base of initial ch3 * 1 picot, 1dc in next st, 1 picot, 1 dc in same st * rep 3 times, 1 picot, 1 dc in next st, 1 dc in 2nd ch of turning ch2.
Rnd 1: Start with MR and secure with
sl.knot,Make 6 sc into the ring.
Rnd 2-18: sc in each st all around.
Fill in with feature.I helped my self with tapestry needle for filling.
Start with MR and secure it with sl.knot. * Ch4,
sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 chs, sl.st into the MR *- rep 3 times. Finish and leave a long tail for sewing.
Beak: Start with black color Rnd 1: Start with MR and secure it with sl.knot. Make 5sc into the ring.
Rnd 2: * inc1, sc1 * rep 2 times, inc1 (8) Rnd 3-5: sc in each st all around. (8) Rnd 6: sc1, hdc1, 2hdc, hdc1, sc4 (9) Rnd 7: sc in each st all around. (9) (Switch to cream color yarn)
Rnd 8: sc2, * inc1 * rep 2 times, sc5 (11)
Rnd 9: sc in each st all around.
Rnd 10: *inc1,sc1 * rep 5 times, inc1 (17)
Rnd 11: sc in each st all around. Fill in with feature.
Finishing touches:
Face
Firstly pin the beak. It will be easier to see if you will like the
face expressions or not.
Sewing all parts together:
I prefer firstly to pin all parts, so it will be visible if any part is not centered. I suggest to use safety pins and pin all the parts, than start sewing.
