Woman’s sweater with Simply Wool

Yarn: Simply Wool – 9 balls

Needles:
80 cm – 3 mm
80 cm – 3.5 mm
80 cm – 4 mm
Markers
Row counter

M – marker
M1 – make one increase
SS – salvage stitch
P – Purl
K – Knit
RS – right side
WS – wrong side

Gauge: 20 sts/26 rows in 10 cm – 4 mm needles

BACK:
Using 3 mm needles cast on 118 sts Italian way. This type of casting makes the sts look purl and knit.
Row 1: Work the Knit sts and pass the Purl sts on the right needle without working them – thread before the work
Row 2: repeat row 1
Row 3: change to 3,5 mm needles and work 1х1 ribbing – total 30 rows

RS – Start counting the rows from zero. Change to 4 mm needles and knit AND at the same time decrease evenly 6 sts = 112 sts
WS – Purl
Work straight up for the total of 66 rows
Put the row counter to zero. We start make increases in the next row as follows:
Row 1: SS, k1, M1, work till 2 sts left, M1, k1, SS . Mark this row on both ends. Later we will use these marked places to cast on for the sleeves. Such increases are made later on rows
9th, 17th, 25th, 35th, and 45th = 124 sts
After row 45 – work straight till row 52nd.
Row 53: Begin forming the drop shoulder with short rows: work till 10 sts left, wrap and turn.
Row 54: purl till 10 sts left, wrap and turn
Row 55: for forming the neck – cast off the central 16 sts . K34, wrap and turn.
Left shoulder:
Row 56: Purl
Row 57: cast off 10 sts k15 , wrap and turn
Row 58: purl
Row 59: cast off 6 sts and work the whole row
Row 60: work the row and leave the sts on an additional needle or thread
Right shoulder:
Row 56: attach the yarn thread and P34, wrap and turn
Row 57: knit
Row 58: cast off 10 sts, p15 , wrap and turn
Row 59: K15
Row 60: cast off 6 sts and work the whole row. Leave the sts on an additional needle or thread

FRONT:
Using 3 mm needles cast on 118 sts Italian way. This type of casting makes the sts look purl and knit.
Row 1: Work the Knit sts and pass the Purl sts on the right needle without working them – thread before the work
Row 2: repeat row 1
Row 3: change to 3,5 mm needles and work 1х1 ribbing – total 30 rows

Start counting the rows from zero – change to 4 mm needle and work row 1 of Chart 1 and simultaneously cast off 7 sts = 111 бр
Work straight up for 66 rows following the Chart 1
Put the row counter to zero.
Row 1: SS, k1, M1, work till 2 sts left, M1, k1, SS. Mark this row on both ends. Later we will use these marked places to cast on for the sleeves. The newly added sts will not be included in the chart – knit them. Continue with the chart 1 for 30 more rows. Don’t forget to make increases in: 9th, 17th, 25th, 35th, and 45th.
Row 31: Start working on all sts Chart 2 and increase 1 st somewhere in the row = 120 sts
Row 45: cast off the central 24 sts
Right shoulder:
Row 47: cast off 6 sts, work the the left sts
Row 49: cast off 3 sts, work the the left sts
Row 51: cast off 1 st, work the the left sts
Row 53: cast off 1 st and work until 10 sts left, wrap and turn
Row 55: cast off 1 st, and work until 10 more sts are left, wrap and turn
Row 57: 9 sts are left un worked
Row 59: work the whole row
Row 60: attach the back piece shoulder with the front using three needles – knitting and casting them at the same time
Left shoulder:
Row 46: attach the yarn thread at the WS and work the row
Row 47: as per chart 2
Row 48: cast off 6 sts, work the the left sts
Row 49: as per chart 2
Row 50: cast off 3 sts, work the the left sts
Row 51: as per chart 2
Row 52: cast off 1 st, work the the lest sts
Row 53: as per chart 2
Row 54: cast off 1 st and work until 10 sts left, wrap and turn
Row 55: as per chart 2
Row 56: cast off 1 st, and work until 10 more sts are left, wrap and turn
Row 57: as per chart 2
Row 58: 9 sts are left un worked
Row 59: as per chart 2
Row 60 – Purl all the sts
Attach the back piece shoulder together with the front using three needles – knitting and casting them at the same time

Neckband: Starting at the RS and at the left shoulder cast on 60 sts on the front and 50 sts on the back. Join and work in the round 1×1 ribbing for 8 rows. Cast of Italian method with a needle.

SLEEVES:
At the RS of the blouse and starting from the markers we put when making our first increase – pick up 41 sts on each side (front and back) – total 82 sts. Work straight as per chart 2 for 88 rows. Change to 3.5 mm needles and make 1×1 ribbing for 24 rows. Cast off Italian style with a needle.
